Our service is focused on producing an annexe that not only meets your requirements, but also exceeds your expectations. We are not limited by standardised production systems and we will not allow our tastes to overtake yours. At Swift we welcome input from experts and have spent valuable time in discussion with Age UK. This helps us understand the details that will make all the difference in day to day usage.
The Swift way…
Before we meet in person, usually we will spend some time exchanging ideas, photos and basic proposals. We will give you all the time you need to consider the ideas and aspirations you have for your new home. Working to your time-frame, your ideals and your budget to develop a living annexe that will not just be fit-for-purpose but will be a home that’s tailored just for you. A building that you can be proud of. We listen carefully and then get creative.
Next…
Following your initial proposal and further review of the design and costs with your designer, we then arrange to carry out a site survey for your proposed annexe. Part of this time is spent learning more about what you want from your new space. You can further discuss each part of your project with your designer. The site survey also provides an opportunity for us to take measurements, check levels, look at accessibility, locate services, study the existing environment and identify potential challenges, and all other factors that will influence the successful outcome of your new garden home.
Following the onsite consultation, your designer will aim to provide a detailed creating a document that guides you and aims to lead you to a design and specification that suits your aspirations and your budget.
This may be reached in a couple of days, or it may demand more discussion and investigation to reach your perfect solution.
Depending upon your aspirations, we may quickly arrive at a granny annexe design that matches your requirements. If so, we can issue your final design and your pralnning/deposit invoice issued, and upon receipt of payment we will be able to get your annexe submitted into planning to await approval!
Or, if your design needs to evolve more, that’s fine! We will continue this stage until we reach a building that exceeds your expectations.
